My Spun Cotton Halloween Ornaments

Its gloomy and rainy outside, kinda reminds me of fall and with fall comes Halloween. So I thought I would post some Halloween ornaments that I made.

The Frog Witch....

She is 6" tall from the tip of her toes to the tip of her hat.

The Evil Clown is 5 1/2" tall from the bottom of the box to the top of his hat. His head and hands are made from clay and painted, as is his little partner in crime, puppet.

The Frog Sorcerer measures 7" tall from the bottom of the box to the tip of his hat. In his hand he's holding a marionette made from a freshly picked pumpkin from the pumpkin patch. The pumpkin is also handmade and handpainted spun cotton.

I purchased this little group of vintage spun cotton Halloween cake picks at one of my favorite antique shops, they are from the 30's 40's.

I'm feeling in the mood to start getting out my Halloween decorations!

Around My House

In the woods behind our home there is a small cemetery that has about 30 stones dating back to the 1800’s.

Its said that if you come alone to the cemetery at midnight, on a Friday, you will hear very loud whispers in the woods of the little country cemetery. If you're brave enough to stay longer the whispers come closer until they're right in front of your face.
They must be the whispers that we hear in our old colonial home.

We found this old cement piece with the lion's head in some over grown bushes on our property and attached some tubing and made it into a fountain.
We thought maybe it came from that old cemetery. Its kind of creepy looking.











I took a picture of a rock in my garden.

I found it in some old bushes around my home shortly after we moved here, see what it looks like to you..
